History

POLYRACK Electronic-Aufbausysteme GmbH was founded in 1979 by Horst Rapp as the first company in the POLYRACK TECH-GROUP group. The graduate mechanical engineer and business economist had previously been an assistant to the board of a large jewelry company, but saw better prospects in the electronics industry. What began with one man in Straubenhardt-Conweiler is now a company whose success story is being written by many committed employees. It is also the story of an impressive development from a pure manufacturing service provider to a full-service provider whose service portfolio ranges from engineering and design to the end product.

The expanded areas of expertise have also created new opportunities for growth in international competition. The challenges of globalization have been understood and used as an opportunity. The independent subsidiary in Rhode Island, USA, plays a special role here. It was founded in 2006 and was able to establish itself in this promising market within a short space of time, operating from its own premises since 2008. In 2007, the company moved into the new Plant 2 in Straubenhardt, bringing together the individual technology areas of systems technology, plastics technology and surface technology under one roof. In order to support the positive further development, additional capacity was created in 2014 with the additional production site in Ettlingen in the areas of mechanics and plastics technology.

However, despite all the development and change, we always like to emphasize what we have remained: a family business that will continue this tradition in the next generation. Strongly anchored in the region. Committed to its people.
