Straubenhardt, 10. März 2021 – Mit der neuen Systemüberwachungsplatine SMC3 erweitert POLYRACK ihr Programm an System-Zubehör. Die SMC3 stellt eine smarte und kompakte Systemüberwachung für CPCI-, VME- oder VPX-basierende Systeme dar.
Die neue Systemüberwachungsplatine ist eine Weiterentwicklung der SMC2-Systemüberwachungsplatine und wurde hinsichtlich Funktionalität und Bedienbarkeit wesentlich verbessert. Zum Einsatz kommt sie u. a. in VME- und CPCI-Systemen und regelt dort auf smarte Weise dank intelligenter Regelalgorithmen die Systemventilatoren. Zudem sorgt sie für höchste Kühlleistung bei minimaler Geräuschentwicklung.
Die SMC3 verfügt über einen großen Betriebsspannungsbereich von 5 bis 36VDC sowie fünf digitale Ein- und Ausgänge (Open Collector). Eine Besonderheit ist die Fähigkeit, bis zu sechs Lüfter in drei Gruppen aufgeteilt zu überwachen und zu regeln. Außerdem dient sie der Überwachung von bis zu acht Systemspannungen und bis zu acht Temperaturen, was insbesondere für die Anwendung in Hochleistungssystemen essenziell ist.
Zur Gewährleistung der Sicherheit eines Systems kann die Überwachungsplatine einen automatischen Shutdown des Systems bei Übertemperatur durchführen, die Remote-Control-Funktionalität ermöglicht das Hoch- und Runterfahren des Systems via Ethernet. Die SMC3 ist optional mit einer LED oder einem Display zur Anzeige des Systemzustandes erhältlich und erlaubt eine einfache Inbetriebnahme durch einen intelligenten Selbstlernmodus.
Je nach Applikation und Kundenwunsch lassen sich alle Regel- und Überwachungsparameter der Systemüberwachungsplatine anpassen.
Mit einer Größe von lediglich 80 x 75mm ist die neue Platine nicht einmal halb so groß wie ihre Vorgängerin SMC2 und mechanisch kompatibel zu deren kleinerer Schwester SM2.Zur Erleichterung der Inbetriebnahme steht dem Anwender eine Software zur Verfügung, über die sich alle Parameter der SMC3 flexibel anpassen lassen.
Straubenhardt (Germany), March 10th 2021 – With the new SMC3 system monitoring board POLYRACK expands its range of system accessories. The SMC3 represents a smart and compact system monitoring for CPCI, VME or VPX board systems.
The new system monitoring board is a modified version of the SMC2 system monitoring board and has been significantly improved in terms of functionality and usability. Among others, it is for example used in VME and CPCI systems, where it intelligently controls the system fans. Thanks to intelligent control algorithms it combines maximum cooling performance with minimum noise.
The SMC3 has a wide operating voltage range of 5 to 36VDC and five digital inputs and outputs (open collector). A special feature is its ability to monitor and control up to six fans divided into three groups. It is also used to monitor up to eight system voltages and up to eight temperatures, which is particularly essential for use in high-performance systems.
To ensure the safety of a system, the system monitoring board can perform an automatic shutdown of the system in case of overtemperature, and the remote control functionality allows the system to be powered up and down via Ethernet. SMC3 is optionally available with an LED-bar or LCD-display to indicate the system status and allows easy commissioning through a smart self-learning mode.
Depending on the application and customer requirements, all control and monitoring parameters of the system monitoring board can be adapted.
With a size of only 80 x 75mm, it is less than half the size of its predecessor SMC2 and mechanically compatible with its smaller brother SM2.To facilitate commissioning all parameters of the SMC3 can be flexibly adjusted through a small software tool by the user.

Pour garantir la sécurité d'un système, la carte de surveillance peut effectuer un arrêt automatique du système en cas de surchauffe, la fonctionnalité de contrôle à distance permet de monter et de descendre le système via Ethernet. Le SMC3 est disponible en option avec une LED ou un écran pour afficher l'état du système et permet une mise en service simple grâce à un mode d'auto-apprentissage intelligent.

Erweiterung von Produktionsfläche und Fertigungsanlagen
Straubenhardt, 1. Februar 2021 – Mit dem Ausbau ihres Werkes in Ettlingen bei Karlsruhe, Deutschland, führt die POLYRACK TECH-GROUP ihren Wachstumskurs fort und reagiert auf die stete Nachfrage nach individuellen Gehäuse- und Systemlösungen, die zusätzliche Fertigungskapazitäten erforderlich macht.
Bereits im vergangenen Jahr erfolgte die Erweiterung der Produktionsfläche in Ettlingen um rund 1.200m² und umfasst an diesem Standort nun ca. 9.000m². Zudem wurde mit dem Kapazitätsausbau der Produktionsanlagen im Bereich der Schweiß- und Biegetechnologie begonnen. In einem zweiten Schritt investierte POLYRACK in den Bereich der Schleiftechnologie und stattete diese mit hochmodernen automatisierten Produktionstechnologien aus. Damit stellt der Gehäuse- und Systemspezialist nicht nur eine höhere Fertigungskapazität sicher, sondern gewährleistet auch eine weitere Steigerung der Produktqualität.
„Ziel des Ausbaus war es, mehr Platz für Produktionsanlagen und Abläufe zu schaffen und den Maschinenpark im Bereich der mechanischen Fertigung auf den neuesten Stand der Technik zu bringen“, erklärt Andreas Rapp, CEO der POLYRACK TECH-GROUP. „Dank einer Optimierung der Fertigungswege, durch die Zusammenführung der mechanischen Fertigung sowie weiterer vollautomatisierter Produktionsanlagen können wir die stetig steigenden Anforderungen an die Qualität der Bauteile realisieren.“
Der Maschinenpark im Bereich Mechanik umfasst hier unter anderem eine neue analoge sowie Highspeed-Punktschweißanlage, eine neue flache sowie 3D-Schleif- und Satinieranlage, Bolzenschweißmaschinen, Laserschweißroboter sowie Anlagen zum Laserschweißen, WIG-, MIG- und MAG-Schweißen.

Expansion of production area and manufacturing equipment
Straubenhardt, February 1st 2021 – The POLYRACK TECH-GROUP continues its growth and responds to the constant demand for individual enclosures and system solutions, with the expansion of its plant in Ettlingen near Karlsruhe (Germany), which responds to the requirements for additional production capacities.
Last year, the production area in Ettlingen was already expanded by around 1200m² and now captures a total area of approx. 9000m² at this location. Furthermore, the start for the capacity expansion of the production equipment in welding and bending technologies was intitiated. In a second step, POLYRACK took an additional invest in the grinding/deburring process and equipped it with state-of-the-art automated production technologies. All of this will not only safeguard a higher production capacity for the enclosure and systems expert, but also guarantees a further improvement in product quality.
“The aim of the expansion was to create more space for production equipment and processes and to upgrade the mechanical operation to the next technical level,” explains Andreas Rapp, CEO of POLYRACK TECH-GROUP. “We are in the position to realise the constantly rising demands on the quality of the components. Thanks to the optimization of production processes, through the centralization of the mechanical production, as well as continued progress in fully automatic production equipment.”

L'année dernière déjà, la surface de production à Ettlingen a été agrandie d'environ 1.200m² et comprend désormais sur ce site environ 9.000m². En outre, l'extension des capacités des installations de production dans le domaine de la technologie de soudage et de pliage a commencé. Dans un deuxième temps, POLYRACK a investi dans le domaine de la technologie de rectification et l'a équipé de technologies de production automatisées ultramodernes.
