The idea behind this product was developed in a company specialized in automation and information technology. During the construction of a new building complex, the company management sought an appropriate entrance control system. The systems available on the market did not meet their personal requirements, so they decided to develop their own product and to market it themselves once it had been successfully installed. Since his own company dealt with software development, if was necessary to find a partner who was specialized in electronic packaging as well as the development and productions of circuit boards.
The way to success
The Polyrack Tech-Group was given responsibility of developing a specification to define the hardware requirements in cooperation with the customer. Additionally, Polyrack provided the following services to the customer to ensure the successful completion of the project:
- design and layout of the printed circuit board
- engineering and manufacturing of a case based on the Polyrack “Railo” mounting rail modules according to customer specifications
- product testing for EMC (electromagnetic compatibility)
- coordination of the certification for EMC by the appropriate authorities
- modifications to design until the product is ready for production
- production, assembly and final testing of the product
The product
ZuKon is an entrance control system for private households and companies which allows for selectively controlled entry into rooms and buildings. It also works well in combination with many private and company surveillance systems.
ZuKon can be configured directly over a PC network (IP Standard). No additional software system is necessary. The system is completely web-based and can be used through standard web browsers like Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator.
